Albar Landscapes Scotland Ltd has exciting opportunities for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team.

We are a leading Landscape Contractor with a prestigious client base such as Cala Homes, Bellway Homes, Persimmon Homes, Avant Homes, Miller Homes and many more.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper who already has experience preferably within the Construction Industry or someone looking for a new challenge on a full time permanent basis.

We are looking for someone who isn't afraid to develop new strategies or implement an effective new procedure that contributes to the successful flow of organisation in the business and promotes its growth.
- It is essential, that you have experience within a similar role, especially working with Xero. Landscaping or Construction experience would be a distinct advantage.
- Comfortable with typical accounts and admin duties that would be expected in a small finance team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills and a team player with a keen eye for detail.
- Confident working individually, who has strong ambition to progress and will work well within a team.

**About the role**:

- The role is to assist the team with all accounting duties.
- Working with Xero, processing data as itemised below.
- Using excel and other Microsoft packages, prepare data in spreadsheet format as required and maintain existing data spreadsheets where necessary.
- Communicate effectively with other team members.
- Full time - 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

**Bookkeeping - XERO Accounting**
- Sales ledger - entering invoices and receipts.
- Purchase ledger - entering invoices, record payments and reconcile accounts.
- Perform matching of supplier invoices with PO receipts.
- Analyse Bank accounts and Bank account reconciliations.
- VAT returns and HMRC payments.
- Credit control.
- Processing payments and receipts
- Prepare weekly payroll data.
- Posting P&L & Balance sheet journal entries.
- Gathering data and producing reports.
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting.
- Sales Forecasts and various Analysis.
- Monitor spend and budgets.
- Retention adjustment and allocation.
