**Job Title Supervisor**
**Qualifications **The applicant must hold a relevant SVQ 3 or above in line with SSSC requirements (or equivalent) qualification or must be willing to work towards the required qualification for this role.
**Job Purpose **To assist the Registered Manager in their professional and administrative duties
To ensure that standards are maintained, and that adequate cover is provided, the post-holder may be required to work overtime at evenings, weekends, bank holidays and other times when the Registered Manager is not in attendance, by agreement with the Registered Manager.
Overtime payment or time back in Lieu will be agreed by the
Registered Manager.

Care plans should be evaluated and reviewed in line with current regulations.

3. To assist with the recruitment, training and induction of new care staff to service users. Also to assist in the probationary period of all new starts as per the recruitment policy.

4. To assist with the training of all care staff where appropriate and identify any staff training needs.
5. To maintain effective communications with care staff, service users and relatives, ensure that service users are involved in all decisions about their care.
6. To liaise with all care professionals as part of an effective multi-disciplinary approach to care and invited service users’ multi-disciplinary teams to reviews.
7. To mentor staff and act as a role model through their work, approach, and professional behaviour. To also monitor and manage the happiness of staff.
8. To carry out supervision with all care staff, including face to face, and direct observations.
9. Identify risks involved in work activities (in relation to both service users and staff) and implement risk assessments to enable the organisation to manage the risks.
10. Monitor and manage the effective implementation of infection prevention and control procedures.

12. Assist office colleagues I their role and be willing to learn the roles of your colleagues to assist them.
- Managing the procurement of new services as per the targets set and making sure that all runs at all times do not have gaps within them or a plan to fill these.
Report and assist with any concerns or issues raised by staff or service users to the relevant manager and always the operations manager.

**(Administration) **manager is aware of any accidents and incidents that may occur and ensure the completion of the appropriate documentation and report to the relevant parties including the Care Inspectorate.

2. Follow duty of Candour Policy and Guidelines
3. Ensure PPE is supplied to care staff or service user’s homes.
4. Ensure that all paperwork in the service user’s home is replenished and all documentation is audited and returned to the office.
5. Ensure that faulty or defective equipment is reported and removed from use.
6. Review the content, relevance and accuracy of information documented by staff. This includes care plans, training, accident / incident reporting and other records.
7. Review the outcomes of accidents / incidents and any follow up action identified to prevent recurrence.
8. Assist the Registered Manager with customer and staff participation strategies.
9. Assist the care coordinator with covering shifts and the completion of rotas.
10. Assist with the Implementation and manage service user and staff participation strategies.
11. Assist with the Implementation and managed customer and staff annual questionnaires.
12. Assist with the quarterly newsletter to make sure this is sent and received by all staff and service users.
13. Assist with the Management of staffs understanding of their birdie app, citation and their knowledge of the SSSC and Care Inspectorate.
