SEN Care Assistant Redbridge - Education and Training - SEN Care Assistant Redbridge
Ideal Care Assistant & LSA role for an aspiring Occupational Therapist, Aspiring Art, Music, and Drama Therapists or:
Aspiring Speech and Language and aspiring Physiotherapists, the nature of the work will give you a strong grounding, allowing you to Qualify and Disqualify the sectors for yourself.
GSL Education are currently recruiting for SEN Care Assistants to work in a specialist PMLD (Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties) school for children and young people aged 4-19 year with physical disabilities, complex medical needs, and associated learningdifficulties such as speech and communication. It is not essential to have experience since training can be provided, personal experience will also help you greatly in this role.
As an SEN Care Assistant Redbridge, you will have to assist with students’ daily activities, Personal Care and, Moving and Handling both within the school and their residential service.

SEN Care Assistant Redbridge - Education and Training - SEN Care Assistant Redbridge
- School day: 8:30am-16:00 Mon-Friday, Therapy and ‘Personal Growth’ days organised for the children on Fridays
- Focus on the EYFS and Primary curriculums, 2 children have progressed to a Year 7 and 8 curriculums, each child will be monitored on a case by case basis and the school will adjust accordingly
- PMLD School, boys and girls, aged 3-16, children will have SPCLN, Selectively Mute, Physical Disabilities, Personal Care, ODD, some acquired Cognitive Injuries
- Classes differentiated on both age and ability, most will have a mixed number of ages due to the varying levels of ability and need in each class
Essential requirements to work as a SEN Care Assistant Redbridge:

- Sincerity and understanding your objectives, this role can be very
- Must have the right to work in the UK
- Must have a valid driving license and be able to drive to the location of the school
- Good standard of English, verbally and written
- A warm, compassionate, nurturing, and caring nature
- Ability to work with understanding, tact, and patience
