Heritage Collections is looking for an imaginative and dedicated paper conservator to join the Conservation & Collections Management team in a fixed-term maternity cover post.

**The Opportunity**:
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a paper conservation background aspiring to work with rare and unique cultural heritage collections within a dynamic and supportive environment. The post holder will deliver conservation/preservation projects for works on paper ensuring that conservation-related targets and standards are met. The post holder will work in close collaboration with Heritage Collections colleagues as part of the Conservation & Collections Management team.

**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- Comprehensive knowledge of conservation working practices and procedures, including understanding of current professional best practice, with a focus on paper.
- Ability to organise and deliver work within agreed timescales to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, in particular the ability to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Enthusiasm for promoting the collections and conservation to a wide range of groups and visitors.
