**Application Support Specialist (Generation)**

**Permanent / Full Time**

**Selby based with hybrid working**

At Drax, our IT function is using the latest technology to deliver business benefit more quickly, improve user experience and drive operational efficiencies.
**About the role**This role gives you scope to collaborate closely with stakeholders at all levels of business, both within the IT function and across the wider Drax business, with the ability to translate technical problems into business implications.
In addition, you’ll effectively utilise third parties and product vendors to deliver small changes, enhancements, and project demand.
**About you**
You’ll be an analytical and logical thinker, and comfortable to challenge and provide recommendations with a concern for quality and consistency. It is equally as important to be able to know business processes and how these are enabled and backed through technology.
It will be beneficial for you to also have the following:

- Experience of managing systems, processes, and risks
- Have supported technology integrations using web services/ APIs
- Experience of design, development, testing and documentation of solutions
- Experience in scripting (SQL, Python, PowerShell)
- Knowledge of the power industry
