An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Research and Enterprise Office for an Administrator to provide business support to the newly created Skills and Talent team.

The role will take responsibility for liaising with colleagues across the university and external businesses to support the delivery of continuing professional development programmes (CPD) and knowledge transfer projects (KTPs) to industry.

The role holder will have excellent communication skills (both oral and written), organisational and planning abilities and financial acumen. They will be asked to prepare and convey regular reports on the pipeline of planned activity and standard reports for knowledge transfer projects to companies as well as prepare costs (using our finance tools) and invoices - as directed by project managers for CPD and KTP managers.

The University’s campus masterplan has invested in a £22m National Horizon Centre and £16.5m Net Zero Industry Innovation Centre (due to open April 2023), £36m in a new BIOS building housing its science laboratories and Integrated Healthcare Academy in September 2023 and a Digital Life centre is due to open in September 2024 to support the innovation and skills needs of the region. The University has a close relationship with the Tees Valley Combined Authority and is a key player in the regeneration of the region through its support for decarbonisation, biosciences, social policy, health, and digital.
