**Job Title**: HR Advisor
**Reports To**: HR Manager - Bury Site
**Summary**: Provide HR support to the HR Manager and function at Bury in line with site and business policies and priorities.
**Overview of role**:
HR
- Support the deployment of company policies and procedures maintaining legal compliance.
- Support the site’s Absence and Attendance Management and report on site attendance and KPI’s as required. Where appropriate provide advice and support with the implementation of procedures including all documentation on Absence Management.
- Ensure that the site’s Disciplinary and Grievance process and procedures are applied and managed appropriately.
- Support all aspects of HR record keeping to required
- Activities to ensure effective and accurate reporting of HR KPI’s and supporting corrective actions and interventions.
- Daily interface with line managers, guiding and advising them accordingly, specifically on any employee relation matters.
- Support the recruitment process from placing advert through to day one, as required
- Challenge the status quo and drive improvements for the site HR functionality and key stakeholders
Low level consultation if required.
- Ensuring GDPR compliance with HR records electronic and paper relating to Bury based employees including: employee changes contractual and other; recruitment; starter and leaver processing, HRIS input, contract administration, locker, uniform, PPE and IT checks; letters and other records
- Manages scheduling of Occupational Health and Physio appointments as advised, supporting associated communications and reports
- Manages professional and timely Induction and related onboarding activity along with supporting additional training (see below).
- Delegated administration relating to contracts e.g. catering, laundry etc.
- Ensures professional and appropriate support to the site leadership team and HR team regarding site visits, hospitality and PPE as directed by the HRA
- Manage the smooth running of the department by: maintain accurate Fire Registers; facilitating appropriate stationary ordering and distribution in line with agreed requirements; daily post activity; administration of ad hoc room bookings, phone lists and organisation charts as directed; Taxi ordering in line with policy; Hotel and car hire for seminars etc.; issue Wi-Fi codes
- Ensuring effective communications within HR and the site including issuing All Bury communications as delegated and ensuring also copied on noticeboards which are kept updated regularly; administration support for Briefing and the BIG/Stars
- Training of future HR Administrators
- Support other duties and projects as may be reasonably delegated e.g. EES, Charity, Christmas activities and other site events.Skills, Knowledge, Experience Essential or Desirable
CIPD Level 3 E
Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,) ideally to an advanced level E
Time and attendance management/payroll admin E
High Performance Coach D
Competent communicator at all levels, approachable, diplomatic and a good mediator E
Experience of working in a unionised environment D
Experience of employee related matters and excellent knowledge of HR Policies, best practices and up to date employment legislation

Able to work on own initiative within agreed parameters E
Highly effective planning and organisation capabilities and excellent communication skills, verbal and written E
