Acorn by Synergie is hiring a Workforce Information Analyst based in the Harrow area, on behalf of their renowned Health Trust client.
Roles and Responsibilities:

- Contribute to the evaluation of current information management processes and recommend and develop more effective systems.
- Assess data quality and identify sources of possible error ensuring a robust data quality process through continuous audits.
- To interpret analysed data and present written explanations of trends.
- To contribute to the production and specification of standard reports to assist the functioning of clinical academic groups and/or corporate functions; to develop new reports to assist the development of such specifications.
- Provide data intelligence advice and support to both internal and external colleagues, informing workforce planning and supporting the development of workforce planning systems.
- Support the Service Request (SR) process for service calls to resolve ESR functionality issues, liaising with IBM and NHS Central Team along with participating and escalating to regional ESR Special Interest Groups (SIGs).
- Develop close working relationships with colleagues in other departments where the bilateral provision of information and support is essential for effective working.
- To update regular dashboard data
- To support the production of board reports by providing necessary data and trends
- To support the Trust in providing central return information (e.g. annual census returns and monthly NHSI uploads) in the required format and to the required timetable.
- To ensure that information released can improve the management decision making process both within HR and externally.
- Support service process mapping to improve workforce Information quality and management of ESR data.
- Improve and maintain the data quality on ESR by overseeing a suite of data quality reports to identify issues at different stages of the employee lifecycle.
- Work with colleagues to assist the implementation of a local data quality improvement programme ensuring that data available is accurate, complete and fit for purpose.
- To communicate technical issues and/or statistical ideas, and interpret output clearly and simply in order to ensure understanding of clients.
- To liaise with the relevant colleagues and clients and advise them to ensure that their information needs are met.
- Development and oversight of targets and KPI's to measure workforce performance.
- To ensure that any changes to datasets or data collections are communicated to colleagues.
- Support on the procurement, implementation and technical support of new systems which may be required to deliver business intelligence to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the Senior Workforce Information Analyst supervising the work of the team to deliver the agreed programme of work, motivating team members to implement a culture of customer service and continuous improvement.
- To deputise for Senior Workforce Information Analyst at Workforce Information meetings.
- To provide training to team on workforce system processes.
Essential Skills/ Qualifications:

- Significant workforce information analysis experience
- Significant experience of workforce planning and implementing best practice methodology
- Worked within a healthcare environment.
- Experience of surveys and collating and analysing statistical information.
- Experience of working with HR systems
- Experience of using analysis systems for example, PowerPivot, Qlikview, Tableau, SPC, or Power BI
- Experience of working with customers to meet current and future needs.
- Analysing and interpreting reports
- Advance knowledge of using and running reports from NHS Electronic Staff Records [ESR]
- Experience of surveys and collating and analysing statistical information.
- Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality policies, Data Protection Act GDBR and Freedom of Information Act
- Skills, Abilities and Attributes
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including use of Pivot Tables, an array of functions such as lookups (INDEX, MATCH; VLOOKUP), SUMIFS, AVERAGEIFS, ISNUMBER, SEARCH etc
- Basic knowledge of MS Access
- Ability to communicate regularly with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritise/organise workload on own initiative and to tight deadlines
Working Hours and Rate of Pay:

- This role is an initial temporary ongoing placement.
- 37.5 hours per week
- For the first 12 weeks £16.97 per hour
- After the 12 week period pay increase to £20.49 per hour
