The Pursuit Group are currently looking for a Maintenance Controller to join our client, a nationwide commercial vehicle contract hire and fleet management company.

The client provide commercial vehicle rental, and vehicle contract hire, as well as fleet maintenance, accident repair management and fleet compliance to customers.

**The role is a 9-5pm, Monday to Friday, office based from Stoke.**

**A HGV Background ideal, but not essential.**

**Role**:
To work in conjunction with the Technical Services Team Leader to ensure that vehicle uptime and customer safety is our absolute priority, through effective and efficient breakdown and defect control. To ensure that work authorisation costs are in line with our rectification budgets.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure all phone calls are answered within the set KPI.
- Allocating breakdowns to the correct supplier, ensuring that vehicles histories and warranty statuses are checked beforehand.
- Ensure all breakdowns are recorded onto our systems, and are chased within the KPI’s set and customers updated.
- Excellent levels of communication with customers at all times.
- Prompt action of any customer defects, checking vehicle histories to ensure any warranty repairs/repeat work is highlighted and reported accordingly.
- Communication with the Technical Services Team Leader, highlighting any issues/concerns and major supplier failures.
- Assist in ensuring work authorisation is provided to suppliers within set timescales.
- Challenging any discrepancies with costs/labour times.
- Identify/highlight patterns of repairs, escalating where appreciate through appropriate channels.
- Support with requesting additional discounts from manufacturers, over and above any NPA agreements in place.
- In conjunction with the Team Leader, offer support and guidance to the team, assisting with decision making if required.
