Liverpool, United Kingdom Liverpool Museums Full time

**Location**:Liverpool

**Salary**:£29,865

**Contract Type: 2 X Posts **Temporary (3 Months)

**Position Type**:Full Time

**Closing Date: 18th August 12 Noon**
- Our people are at the heart of National Museums Liverpool. Colleagues from across the NML team make a difference every day, creating memorable experiences for everyone and challenging expectations. We pride ourselves on being a place for everyone, but we are always aiming higher, aspiring to be representative of the communities we serve. Through our people, we are building a culture which embeds trust, respect and inclusion and an organisation in which people are engaged and empowered to enable National Museums Liverpool to evolve. You could be just the right person to join us.
- We currently have the post(s) of Project Conservator available.
- The key purpose of this role is to support Collections Care requirements during the development phase of NML’s major transformation project of the International Slavery Museum (ISM) and Maritime Museum (MM). Through the assessment of object condition and stability, you will review conservation requirements to aid the planning and allocation of resources for effective project delivery.
- This exciting redevelopment will involve a major decant of collections. Working alongside NML’s Project Collections Coordinator, ISM and MM curatorial staff, the work undertaken by the appointed Project Conservator will develop our information resource regarding the condition of collections currently on display, considerations for their movement, protection and remedial treatments as appropriate. Although the key focus of this role will be to undertake condition assessments, the post holder may be required to undertake other conservation related tasks to support the projects needs and required preparations for decant.
