**Job Purpose -**
- Raise the profile of Conduct Risk so that it is given the same prominence as other Risk types in business decisions and across the business, particularly when there are competing Risk priorities
- Meet regulatory expectations in the management of Conduct Risk
- Support the INED Chairs of the AIL & UKD Conduct Committees in setting annual agenda cycle
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the development, implementation & maintenance of an effective Compliance Framework for UK GI in line with Group Policy and risk appetite

**Key Responsibilities -**
- Accountable for leadership UK GI Conduct and Compliance Team
- Ensure all UKGI Conduct & Compliance and Conduct Monitoring (along with Group Compliance and Financial Crime Director) staff have appropriate skills, experience, knowledge and development plans for the roles they undertake. Ensure UKGI Conduct & Complianceleaders receive the training they need to be effective leaders.
- Ensure appropriate remuneration and reward packages in place for individuals within UK GI Conduct & Compliance, including the Conduct Monitoring Shared Service (along with Group Compliance and Financial Crime Director), ensuring compliance with Group RemunerationPolicy and Code.
- Responsible for setting the tone for the culture within the UKGI Conduct and Compliance team, demonstrating high standards of ethics and integrity.
- Responsible for ensuring there is an appropriate conduct and regulatory risk aware culture in UKGI to support the timely identification, escalation and management of risks.
- Responsible for ensuring UKGI culture meets the expectations of regulators and customers with regards to customer outcomes. Ensure that UKGI acts in the customers best interests.
- Deliver Conduct Communications Strategy in UKGI
- Take a lead role in participation in GI industry forums to ensure that changes to regulations/ legislation, input to lobbying and influencing activities.
- Extensive internal & external stakeholder relationships are a key requirement in the role, including Boards/Committee Chairs, the Regulators and Auditors.

- Broad understanding of and sensitivity to company law and GI insurance regulations.
- Experience of promoting and managing change in a diverse business.
- Proven track record in the management of risk resource.
