We are currently looking to recruit a **Global Procurement Category Leader - Marketing, Medical Excellence & Access**, to be based in Slough as part of the MA & Commercial Capabilities team. The Global Procurement Category Leader will be responsible for a spend of approx. 90m Euros and will be growing in the coming years as Ipsen increasing its footprint through external acquisitions. His / her responsibilities will be to design, build, communicate and support implementation of Category Strategies with close alignment with Medical Excellence organization & Global Products and Portfolio Strategy Team and more specifically with Asset Leads, Brands Leads, Global Communication, Market Access teams in addition to our various procurement Teams at local level to ultimately deliver added value to the business.

The Global Procurement Category Leader will work very closely with the Global Procurement Events & Commercial Insights Category Leader.

He/she will contribute to the strategic development of this spend portfolio and will ensure the robust delivery through clear and measurable benefits.
- Project Management: Ability to manage projects to ensure successful delivery, to establish clear goals and accountabilities. This includes the ability to develop project plans, prioritize, identify potential issues/risk and develop contingency plans.
- Negotiations: Ability to influence and negotiate optimal agreement.
- Data Analysis/Interpretation: Ability to convert general data and findings into specific suggestions that add value to the business and the team.
- Fully skilled in Procurement strategies, processes, systems & tools.
- Knowledge of markets & suppliers for the specific categories of the position
- Leadership: Decisive, make timely practical and effective decisions. Takes initiative.
- Foster open communications, share information that drive to Procurement community and business to success
- Assertive and Persuasive: Demonstrate healthy and productive influencing ability. Gain the respect and confidence of stakeholders. Build constructive and effective relations.
- Drive for continuous improvement: Align continuous improvement with the strategic objectives of the organization; drives process excellence.

**Main responsibilities / job expectations**

**Category Management**
- Drive Category Management process for the assigned categories.
- Be the Procurement Subject Matter Expert on assigned categories.
- Identify and classify new opportunities through best-in-class category management processes with strong alignment with Internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Strategic planning: Develop long term strategic category plans for the assigned categories
- Develop best procurement practices and support implementation of these practices across Marketing, Media, Communication & Access portfolio and Medical Excellence activities such as Medical Communication & Education, Publishing
- Maintain the highest-level code of conduct and ethics.
- Ensure that all the key suppliers within the category assigned adhered Ipsen Ethics & Compliance code
- Contribute to the development of Procurement objectives, strategy, processes & tools.

**Define and Manage the Procurement Category strategies**

Be responsible for Sourcing Strategies processes already existing or to be defined.

These main activities would include the following but are not limited to:
DESIGN AND BUILD SOURCING STRATEGIES
- Understand Company objectives and how they derive into business strategies and priorities
- Design and build appropriate category and sourcing strategies with inputs coming from Medical Excellence organization and Global Products and Portfolio Strategy Team and more specifically from Asset Leads, Brands Leads, Global Communication & Market Access teams & local procurement.
- Establish Stakeholder Mapping for the assigned categories: Develop and execute a Stakeholder Engagement plan.
- Develop a Preferred Supplier List for the assigned categories.
- Develop communication package and tools to support implementation of category strategies and plans
- Support the Global Procurement Organization on various sourcing initiatives related to the assigned categories

MANAGE CATEGORY
- In close alignment with Medical Excellence organization and Global Products and Portfolio Strategy Team and more specifically with Asset Leads, Brands Leads, Global Communication & Market Access teams & local procurement oversees the implementation of category plans
- Act as a business partner for:

- Contract negotiation and contract management
- Contract key operational clauses negotiation
- Operational Meetings with Key & Strategic suppliers
- Efficiency plan implementation
- Critical supply issues
- Manage or support RFP processes until contract execution to support Business projects
- Identify efficiency opportunities across the Categor
