Specialist Orthoptist

If you're looking for a job in a friendly department where we nurture your talents and strive to make you the best Orthoptist you can be, then look no further. An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2.0 WTE (37.5 hrs) Band 5/6 Orthoptist depending on experience.

You will be joining a team of 4 Orthoptists, 2 Orthoptic Assistants and 2 Admin Assistants to undertake general Orthoptic only and joint Consultant clinics.

The Orthoptic department (based in Boston) is now located in our new purpose built location on M2. We have a varied workload including adult and paediatric patients in our general clinics, Shared care Glaucoma services, Visual Processing clinics, Adjustable squint surgery, Orthoptic led Stroke Service, Orthoptic direct referral patients as well as Additional needs and Paediatric Low vision clinics.

We actively participate in audit and teaching of undergraduate orthoptic and medical students. ULHT is also in the process of becoming a Teaching Hospital - an exciting opportunity for development.
