**JOB PURPOSE**

This hybrid role involves a mix of both administrative tasks and the opportunity to work as part of the team on the bagging yard. A yard operative needs to be capable of driving mobile plant including a loading shovel. They will need to learn the IT Systems for generating tickets and using excel to monitor stock control. Training will be provided. They need to be able to work in all weather conditions and work within a highly motivated team with good communication being fundamental within the role. Hard work and manual work is required on a daily basis. There may be the requirement to work nights and weekends. These will be rewarded accordingly.

**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

The duties are many and varied, but the list below is considered to be the basic requirement:

- Manage PODFather system including creating daily pick list, releasing jobs, and managing loads - training will be provided.
- Inputting daily production and receipting goods received into Netsuite system - training will be provided.
- Booking haulage and liaising with sales office to ensure excellent service to customers.
- Ensure safe, compliant & efficient loading trucks and managing aggregate stockpiles.
- Ensure high standards of Health & Safety at all times, reporting any issues, accidents and near miss to line manager.
- Work as part of a high performing team to supply aggregates for our customers with focus on quality and production key.
- Operate loading shovels, depending on site requirement.
- Completion of fixed plant and mobile plant inspections.
- Support our national office with queries and loading request.
- General housekeeping duties as and when requested by line manager.
- Good communication with all drivers, yard operatives and delivery drivers.
- Flexibility with paid working hours mid-week and weekends.
