Reporting to the Planning Manager, the main purpose of the role will be to provide a full range of clerical functions to support the warehouse operation, ensuring the accurate and timely payment of wages and ensuring the provision of information required by other departments.

We are looking for those who will live the Argos Values, be a team player, but able work with mínimal supervision as and when required, have the ability to take corrective action where necessary and an ability to communicate well with all staff within the Distribution Centre. Previous experience of payroll systems and a good level of PC skills will be advantageous.

**What you need to do**

To support if required the updating and control of the time and attendance systems and records, inputting data to the payroll system, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of information and adherence to deadlines.

To monitor holiday and sickness, ensuring site and Company policy is adhered to.

To administer and control the purchase order and invoicing process, ensuring correct authorisation is obtained.

To administer sale of gift vouchers.

To control the ordering and issue of staff uniform, shoes and watches.

To collect and reconcile monies collected from staff sales. (Via shop or sale)

To control the ordering and issue of all site stationery.

To provide administrative support to the site management team.

To monitor and control health and safety documentation ensuring accurate tracking of the paperwork in line with the process.

To play a key part in planning and administering key events.

**How you will succeed**

Timely and accurate data

Support Line Managers to maintain accurate colleague pay with no more than 2% errors

Provide accurate information to line managers and the Centres of Excellence.

Demonstrate our values at all times by being a role model, encouraging others to do the same and calling out to appropriate levels of authority where this is not being brought to life.

**What you need to know**

How to use a range of systems, including Microsoft Office, Oracle, MyHR, etc.

How to translate data into meaningful reports formats and summaries.

Good customer service skills (internal and external customers), including face-to-face, systemic and telephone engagement.

How to prioritise workload

How to positively embrace new ways of working

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to demonstrate and build good working relationships both internally and externally
