**About the role**

We have a fantastic opportunity for a news-hungry executive ('senior account executive') to join us at DS Smith as a Media & Campaigns Executive, supporting high-impact communications campaigns that build our brand and reputation.?

The role will require you to support the ambitious Media Relations & Campaigns team and work with our agencies to build proactive, creative campaigns that are rooted in our strategy, as well as to adopt an always-on story mining approach across our businessto support growth. To deliver to these, you will need a proactive, communicative, and collaborative approach, with the ability to build strong relationships throughout our divisions.

You'll need strong writing/content skills as you will be creating/refining messaging as well as building a range of media materials. You will have a strong interest in the news agenda and will develop relationships with journalists, as well as a growingunderstanding of their agendas, keeping up with developments in the media to identify opportunities for us to build new relationships and create opportunities to enhance reputation. You will act as a key point of contact for incoming media enquiries, and you'llsupport the delivery of key news stories for the business, including supporting with financial calendar moments.

The team will consistently be working on several projects, so we'll also ask you to help manage these projects and you will be responsible for measurement and tracking progress across a number of markets..? Outside of your immediate team, you'll have theopportunity to work with a variety of stakeholders across DS Smith.? The Media & Campaigns team sits within the broader Corporate Affairs Team which comprises of Sustainability, Internal Communications, Digital and Brand teams.

**About you?**
- Strong news sense - interested in and able to engage with different media outlets, helping us bring the outside, in
- Proactive attitude - self starting and eager to get stuck in and drive work through
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Great relationship building skills
- Previous experience supporting/running elements of campaigns
- Previous experience supporting/acting as the hub within teams
- Degree level education
