**Woodcraft Folk** is seeking a flexible, organised and sociable **Centre Site Coordinator **to to join our small friendly team of paid and volunteer staff in **Todmorden**. You'll join us on a **part-time permanent basis, working 14 hours per week**. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of **£24,909-£29,812 per annum (pro rata).**

**Height Gate Outdoor Centre** is a 17th Century farmhouse and barn steeped in rural character and situated high above the Calder Valley between Todmorden and Hebden Bridge. It is available for youth activity and education groups and private hires and can accommodate 30 guests.

With huge potential to grow, support and deliver residential experiences, Height Gate Centre is aiming to increase occupancy and realise its commitment to celebrating and promoting Woodcraft Folk values and principles, for generations of visitors for years to come.

**About the role**:
We are seeking a **Centre Site Coordinator **who understands and values the role residential education, activities and experiences provide in shaping the lives of young people, families and groups. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the future of Woodcraft Folk’s residential provision and establish Height Gate Camping Barn as a preferred destination for a range of residential groups.

We offer flexible working up to 14 hours per week, 28 days annual leave (pro rata, + plus Bank Holiday entitlement).

**As our** **Centre Site Coordinator your responsibilities will include**:

- Site coordination and premises maintenance
- Liaising with contractors, other staff and volunteers, ensuring that there is a cycle of maintenance
- Completing monitoring and maintenance forms e.g. first aid kits, ladder checks, kitchen records, water system, fire alarms/fire equipment maintenance
- Liaising with local contractors or volunteers to ensure cleaning, grass-cutting, road maintenance and waste collection needs are met
- Inspecting the building at least weekly when it is not occupied to ensure its good order and safety and to notify the Head of Centres of any problems.
- Centre and activity Safeguarding and Health & Safety observance
- Building positive relationships with customers and suppliers
- Volunteer support and development
- Working with volunteers and local groups to create a programme of activities to share Woodcraft Folk aims and principles with children, young people and families
- With the Head of Centres, developing and supporting a volunteer Centre Committee to focus resources on solving practical resources issues and developing the long-term plans for the centre

**What we are looking for in our Centre Site Coordinator**:

- An appreciation of Woodcraft Folk aims and values
- Experience of premises maintenance and compliance
- Customer and contractor relations experience
- An interest in gaining experience of working with and supporting volunteers
- Computer literacy
- Good communication skills
