**Your role at Orbit.**

**Interview date 5th / 6th September**

We are looking for a capable and adept individual to provide a key service within our Tenancy Management team. Working closely across the wider team you will provide dedicated legal support for cases that have been escalated through the work streams. You will manage a varied caseload, use a range of tools available to you to ensure a successful outcome to the business.

You will provide specialist advice across the wider business to internal teams and build strong relationships with key partner agencies such as Local Authorities, Social Services, Local courts and Judges.

You will support complainants and witnesses to help Orbit as a landlord take appropriate legal action.

This role will involve a mix of working from home, in office and appearances in court across the South. Limited involvement in out of hours rota (to be discussed at interview)

**What will help you make a difference.**
- Excellent numeracy, literacy and communication skills.
- Experience of dealing with Anti-social Behaviour and Tenancy Breach case management and performance case reviews
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
- A good understanding of Tenancy Management
- Excellent understanding of housing law, legislation, CPR both mandatory and discretionary possession grounds
- Excellent understanding of Injunction action process. With experience and ability to manage end to end process.
- Experience in dealing with and understanding, court etiquette, case law, court directions & Equality Act particularly in relation to Tenancy Management
- An understanding of best practice in Anti-social Behaviour and Tenancy Breaches and of related legal issues
- Extensive experience in court representation and tenancy enforcement action
- Ability to prioritise workload and work unsupervised, with a proven record of accomplishment and delivering results
- Experience of paper administration including summary reports and witness statements preparation
- Experience of providing advice to the public
- Ability to represent the association to external agencies
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
- Must be willing and able to travel to meet the requirements of the role
- Flexibility in being able to work evening (up to 8pm) and Saturdays (up to 1pm) as and when required to ensure delivery of smart customer case management
