Totally Wicked has an exciting opportunity for a **Compliance Assistant** to join our team at our Head Office in Blackburn. The purpose of this role is to support Totally Wicked in ensuring product quality and compliance as demanded by the business.

Since 2008, Totally Wicked has been changing the world of vaping, with a clear purpose of 'empowering smokers to transform their lives' through the sale of the highest quality and most diverse range of e-cigarette and e-liquid products through our own online channels, retail partners and our own retail stores throughout the UK.

Working closely with the Compliance Officer, the Compliance Assistant will be required to contribute to regulatory requirements for both new and existing products to make sure our operations run in a legal manner while meeting business objectives. As we aspire to deliver outstanding products to market including e-liquids, e-cigarettes and related products, compliance is at the forefront of the business and defines us as a market leader in the vaping industry by striving to deliver only the highest quality products to our customers.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Taking responsibility for timely and accurate notifications of e-liquid and e-cigarette products to the MHRA and relevant European authorities as required by the TRPR/TPD.
- Playing a pivotal role in the compliance sign-off process of all product packaging artwork and final product as marketed by the business in the UK, EU, and other international markets the business may engage in line with the relevant regulations and directives.
- Sharing responsibility for general reporting obligations for the business mandated by WEEE, Waste Battery and Packaging Waste Regulations and be responsible for communication between the business and external Environmental Compliance Agency.
- Maintaining a thorough record of technical documentation of all products supplied by the business.
- Providing technical and regulatory support to other departments within the business such as assisting the customer services team in the resolution of customer queries relating to compliance.
- Partaking and contributing to projects relating to the compliance and regulations in line with business objectives.
- Ensuring all data and documents held are maintained in an organized manner and updated where necessary.
- Keeping to date with, and understanding relevant laws and regulations for where the business operates.
- Undertaking any duties relevant to the department’s activities commensurate with the level of the post as agreed with the Product Development Manager and Technical Director.

**About you**:

- Experience in accountability and awareness, particularly relating to working to deadlines in a timely manner.
- Team worker with good verbal and communication skills. Showing a high level of organisation and is authoritative when carrying out tasks. Good time keeper and time management while understanding the importance of assigned duties. Computer literate with good MS Office skills.
- Ability to work under pressure adhering to strict deadlines. Showing good problem solving skills when faced with difficult tasks (desirable).
