**Overview**:
Buckinghamshire Council is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Finance Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting financial transaction processing activity through timely and accurate processing.

**This is a secondment/fixed-term contract opportunity up until 31**st **March 2025.**

**About us**:
You will be joining the Regulatory & Financial Accounting team, reporting to the Adults and Children's Provider Payments Team Leader. Our team is dedicated to delivering excellent customer experience by providing efficient and effective service through continuous improvement and collaboration with all stakeholders.

**About the role**:
As a Finance Officer, you will support the financial transaction processing activity for Buckinghamshire Council through timely and accurate processing of Social Care Provider Payments. You will deliver excellent customer experience by providing efficient and effective service through continuous improvement within the team and by working in collaboration with all the stakeholders both internal and external to the Council.

The job requires a high level of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

Any-Desk:
As an ‘any-desk’ worker, you’ll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements*.

**About you**:

- Good ICT skills - standard Microsoft packages/ specialist systems (e.g.SAP and/or Controcc )
- Educated to GCSE standard (including Maths & English to GCSE)
- Be able to organise workload and prioritise in line with task deadlines
- Communication skills - written and verbal
- Analytical skills
- Be able to complete payment reconciliations
- Working as part of a team
