Job Title: Head of Accounts - Rail Services

Based: Sandbach (can be flexible and offer 50%+ working from home)

Maximum weekly working hours will be 35 hours (28-32 hours typical working week)

Remuneration: £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience

The role of the Head of Accounts - Rail Services will involve:

- Head of Accounts position managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department
- Responsible for financial reporting, billing, credit control and collections
- Sending and chasing invoices
- Managing payroll for permanent and contract / temporary staff
- Full budget and P&L responsibility
- VAT returns and year end reporting
- Processing year & month end figures
- Meet financial accounting objectives
- Updating sage accounting & payroll software
- Minimum requirement in 2 days in the Sandbach therefore can work from home the remaining time

The ideal applicant will be a Head of Accounts - Rail Services with:

- Must have experienced with purchasing, sales as well as credit control
- Must have experience with SAGE or similar payroll & accounting software experience
- Must have experience with VAT returns
- Relaxed environment, looking for some easy going and flexible
- No previous rail knowledge required
