Bristol, United Kingdom Prison Advice and Care Trust Full time

Pact is a highly respected independent charity, working across England and Wales to develop and deliver a range of innovative services. We provide practical and emotional support to prisoner’s children and families, to prisoners and those who have resettled back into the community. Our work is founded on core values, the first of which is a belief in the innate dignity of every human being, and our work focusses on human relationships, family and community. We are committed to achieving high standards of quality in all that we do.

**About you**:
In this role you will oversee Pact’s approach to achieving systemic change within prison and criminal justice health; championing the voice of service users and their families and significant others; supporting continuity of care for prisoners between custody and community; and supporting a public health approach embedded in all of our service delivery.

Our health services will be delivered through our regional management structures, and as such you will work very closely with regional Heads of Service and their teams to mobilise and deliver high quality services, whilst taking overall responsibility for service design, practice development and quality assurance.

You will also work closely with colleagues to develop strong strategic, business and operating partnerships and alliances aimed at increasing Pact’s influence and involvement in areas of criminal justice health.

As well as having a recognised professional qualification and up-to-date registration in a related healthcare field (e.g. nursing, clinical or counselling psychology) you will have:

- A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in a regulated leadership role in criminal justice healthcare or closely related field (e.g. housing, homelessness, addictions).
- Substantial knowledge of healthcare issues as relevant to the prison population and other people who find themselves in the criminal justice system (both adults and young people).
- Strategic leadership experience in the design, development, delivery and roll-out of service models that leverage evidence-based effective interventions within a relevant integrated healthcare environment.
- Highly credible, engaging and solutions-focused, you will be someone who inspires positive change in pursuit of better outcomes. You will also be comfortable working autonomously and taking on clinical leadership, whilst also working effectively as part of a team.

For more information about the requirements for the role, please review the attached job description and person specification.

**What we offer**:
Pact offers a range of benefits including a free advice, information and counselling service, contributory pension, corporate eye care scheme, cycle to work scheme and generous holiday entitlement. You will have the opportunity to attend training events to further develop yourself as a professional training and interventions worker. You will undergo a thorough induction process and be supported by a friendly and enthusiastic team.
