We are looking for an Insurance Claims Administrator in East Midlands/East Anglia, based in either Sheffield, Leicester, Peterborough, Marks Tey or Hitchin

Cadent is the UK’s largest Gas Distribution Company owning and operating four of the eight UK Gas Distribution Networks across the East of England, London, Northwest and West Midlands; spanning over 131,000 kilometres of pipes. Cadent transport gas safely and reliably to 11 million homes across their networks and operate the Gas Emergency Helpline for the whole of the UK. Costain is appointed as the Construction Management Organisation to manage the planning and delivery of the annual network investment programme for the East of England Network.

**Key Tasks & responsibilities**

***- Undertaking the efficient and effective management of insurance claims submitted by 3rd parties
- Liaising with 3rd party contractors to determine parties involved
- Obtaining details surrounding liability and updating insurance claim register
- Collating relevant documents pertaining to each claim
- Advising insurers and loss adjusters of liability or rejection of claim by 3rd party contractors
- Weekly reporting of status of insurance claims position

**About you**
- Minimum 5 GCSE’s including English and Mathematics
- Min 5 years working experience with prior experience in administering insurance claims
- Experience of using Microsoft suite of software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Demonstrable financial and commercial acumen
- Practical approach, logical thought process and a methodical way of working
- Experience of operating office management systems including filing systems and document control and distribution
- An ability to collate information, prepare reports, payment certificates and interim financial reports and closeout reports.
