_East Midlands Academy Trust (EMAT) has a family of schools across Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes and is in the process of growing._
- Our Local Advisory Boards (LAB) are made up of Parents, Staff, and Co-opted Governors. Co-opted Governors include both parents and members of the community. Our Governors may come to us through a variety of routes and with a range of different backgrounds, skills and experiences, but they are volunteers who work together for the benefit of the school and are the link between the school and the community it serves._
- We currently have vacancies for Co-opted Governors in are Milton Keynes, Northampton and Oundle schools and would be delighted to hear from anyone who has: _
-      A keen interest in the performance of the school_
-      A desire to contribute to and represent the community_
-      An open and enquiring mind_
-      The ability to look at issues objectively_
-      The confidence to ask questions_
-      A willingness to listen and make informed judgements_
-      The ability to work well with others_
- Being a Governor can be enjoyable, stimulating and rewarding. Being a governor in our trust offers: _
-      A chance to develop skills in strategic management_
-      The opportunity to work with our team of governors and staff in improving our schools_
-      Training to develop an understanding of specific school management issues_
-      A sense of achievement in making a difference to our schools_
-      The pleasure of helping students reach their potential_
- The LAB meets a minimum of 7 times a year. As a Governor you may be required to have a special responsibility, i.e. for Special Educational Needs, Pupil Premium or Safeguarding. We offer a full range of training opportunities and a friendly passionate governing board that ensures every child deserves to be the best they can be._

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £1.00 per year
