**So, where do I fit in?**

As the Risk and Control Lead, you'll be working with the Heads of Service and Senior Leadership Team to develop and embed an appropriate level of risk and control documentation and oversight to provide assurance of the control effectiveness.

Your accountabilities will include (however not limited to):

- Manage the company-wide Risk and Controls Matrix
- Support teams to develop robust processes, identify risks and embed controls.
- Provide leadership for end-to-end Risk & Control Self-Assessments, including control breaks to reduce financial loss, regulatory exposure, customer complaints, data errors and reputational risk
- Ensure regular self-assessments of control effectiveness are completed by the Control Owners
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to support the development of business processes and controls.
- Provide regular and appropriate reporting on controls
- Manage BAU control activities, including control validation, implementation support, testing, KPI / EWI definition and reporting,
- Maintain suitable functional risk registers with appropriate risk management activities.
- Input into Good Energy strategy and develop business plans, working closely with other Leaders and Exec colleagues
- Strengthen Good Energy’s culture by being a role model for the mindset and behaviours that align with it
- Lead people within your own function / team / project teams in a way that engages them and supports high performance and engagement
- Develop functional capabilities, structures, systems, skills, people resourcing, skills development and budgeting
- Anticipate and manage risks related to your function as well as the wider Good Energy business.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders.

You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the 'Head of’ by leading internal and external meetings, supporting development of business cases as well as leading external relationships including planning and strategic delivery to ensure success.

**Have I got what it takes?**

Stepping into this new Risk and Control Lead opportunity, you'll have demonstrable experience in a risk management role with proficient knowledge of risk and control management concepts. with the ability to design, create and evaluate control effectiveness.We are looking for individuals that come from an enterprise risk management background, as in this role you’ll be partnering and advising across a range of internal functions (such as Operations, Marketing, HR, Finance, Legal, IT, etc).

We're looking for someone who has experience in writing process maps (ideally using Visio) and can use these to identify risks and controls. This is a fast-paced role that would be suited to someone that enjoys juggling multiple priorities at once and canthrive in a challenging environment.
