Birmingham, United Kingdom St John Ambulance Full time

**What's involved**:
**Department**:
Workplace Training - North

**Salary**:
Casual Rates of Pay

**About the Role**

As a Casual Trainer at St John Ambulance, you will be responsible for delivering and assessing a variety of First Aid and Health & Safety training courses to our workplace and community training customers.

Our courses receive incredible customer satisfaction ratings because they are the best on the market delivered by passionate, well-trained, adaptable trainers in cohesive teams supported by expert advice and guidance. We are an organisation that truly believes in giving delegates not just the certificate, but the skills and confidence to make a difference when the time comes. We do that by making our courses interactive, enjoyable and practical as well as assessing understanding throughout the course. We also all seek to live the values of the organisation every day, those of humanity, excellence, accountability, responsiveness, and teamwork. If that sounds like something you could fit into, then please get in touch.

Most of the time you would be working in one area and on weekdays in our training venues (we have around 200 across the country), in addition you would run courses on customer premises and travel to other areas when necessary (so you need to be able to get yourself there, with the required equipment) and occasionally do courses at weekends or in the evening.

Summary of what we are looking for:

- Trainers with an Assessing and Training Qualification at Level 3 or above (eg CiLD)
- People who are passionate and engaging, adaptable and flexible
- First aid training experience would be a distinct advantage.
- Casual roles at attractive assignment rates
- We are also interested in hearing from people who are NEBOSH qualified to deliver safety courses on a casual basis

About Us

St John Ambulance works at the heart of communities, providing first aid, keeping people safe at events and working alongside the NHS in response to 999 calls.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of people learn how to save a life through our training, education and youth programmes.

Over the next decade, we have bold ambitions to help transform out-of-hospital care, having a positive impact on the people we treat and the communities we serve.

We are a team of 1,600 employees and 18,000 volunteers, sharing the values of humanity, excellence, accountability, responsiveness, and teamwork, and united by aims to serve humanity without judgement, to take time to care, to be skilled to meet health needs, and to develop new and better ways to preserve and protect life.

Other benefits:

- Competitive salary & pension scheme
- Cycle to work scheme
- Health and Wellbeing portal - Access to financial, health and wellbeing guidance and support.
- Discounts - Blue Light, NHS and SJA discounts including on mobile phones, gym membership, cinema, restaurants, holidays and shopping - including your weekly food shop.
