An exciting opportunity for applicants to join the Critical Care Team at Wrexham Maelor Hospital as a Critical Care Technician.

The post is full time which will involve shift work and weekends.

Complying with governance processes.

Assisting medical staff with complex procedures and interventions.

Responsible for ensuring the maintenance of medical devices and surgical instrumentation.

Liaising with the Critical Care clinical teams, and EBME regarding the maintenance, safe storage and usage of all medical and surgical equipment within the services.

Supporting the clinical staff in the use of, and training for specialist/new equipment within the critical care department.

Trouble-shooting equipment problems and escalating as necessary to either the Matron, EBME or external contractors.

Liaising with EBME regarding the timely maintenance/servicing of all in
- house maintained medical and surgical equipment and ensure that the services are in date.

Liaising with external contractors regarding the maintenance medical and surgical equipment on repair/replacement contracts. Ensuring safe storage of equipment.

Assisting in the maintenance of an equipment register for all medical and surgical equipment within the department.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
