It is our belief that the smallest acts of kindness make the biggest difference.
This role will include the following duties and responsibilities:
- Providing personal care, including washing, bathing, pressure care, dressing and grooming.
- Administering medication and recording on correct documentation.
- Preparing food and drink to support with nutrition and hydration.
- Support with household tasks, like washing, ironing and housework, assisting with shopping and community activities.
- Recognising signs of un-wellness or changes in peoples physical or emotional well-being, and following the correct channels for help and support.
- Provide comfort to those people at the end of their lives and their families, by giving sympathetic and empathic support, until the very end and after.
- Look after people like they were your own family, whilst still respecting professional boundaries.
What Agape Homecare will do for you:
- We will train you. We provide you with level 3 framework training including medication, safeguarding, fire, risk assessment and all aspects of health and safety, in house moving and handling, and outside training such as PEG.
- We will support you, with shadowing shifts and management support on the front line.
- Provide you with staff bonus's
- We will encourage you to take on further training, such as Level 3 NVQs or Level 5 Managers Awards. We want you to train to provide the best care and support.
We know our pay rates are good, and they always have been. We believe that that last thing a carer should worry about is paying their bills.
Our pay for this position is as follows:
£2228.00 + Mileage of 40 per mile paid 4 weekly (13 pay days per year) based on a 40 hour per week salaried contract.

- Monitor and record vital signs under the direction of healthcare professionals
- Administer medication as prescribed and assist with medical equipment
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create and implement care plans
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the care team
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
**Experience**:
- Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred
- Familiarity with IT systems for documentation purposes
- Ability to follow care plans accurately and adapt to changing needs
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Compassionate attitude towards providing care
