London, United Kingdom Single Homeless Project Full time

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Refugee Resettlement team at SHP in Lambeth We are looking for a motivated, empathetic and enthusiastic individual to work with a caseload of Afghan women, supporting them to feel empowered and able to lead fulfilling lives.

The Lambeth Refugee Resettlement team supports clients who have come to the UK via one of the government’s resettlement schemes. With a strong focus on multi-agency working, the Refugee Resettlement Worker will oversee floating support delivery to individuals from the point of arrival to their accommodation through to successful integration into the local community.

You will be responsible for meeting people on arrival to Lambeth, orientation of the local area and supporting clients to work towards independence through the creation and delivery of strengths-based assessments. With a strong focus on employment and education, you will develop new, and maintain existing, links with partners in education, health and the Department of Work and Pensions to maximise the opportunities for the new arrivals.

At SHP we take a trauma-informed approach to our work, recognising that many of our clients will have experienced trauma and ensuring that we work in a sensitive and empowering way. If you have experience of working with clients who have experienced displacement and are keen to make a difference to sanctuary seekers in Lambeth, we’d love to hear from you. We especially welcome applicants with either **Dari or Pashto** language skills.
