Are you an enthusiastic administrator the SAFE Centre based at Royal Preston Hospital. You will be responsible for providing an effective clerical and administrative service to help maintain the smooth day to day running of the SAFE Centre.

You will be a key member of the SAFE Centre team and support by providing administrative support to a high standard.

You will communicate with a range of complainants, staff and external agencies using a variety of communication methods including, verbal, written, interpersonal and electronic, circulating robust information in a format that is appropriate to the individual request

The SAFE Centre is a Sexual Assault Referral Centre which means the post holder will need to be comfortable with taking telephone calls and dealing with records that contain information of a sensitive nature. Included in this role will also be a lot of regular contact with the Police as the SAFE team work closely with the police.

You will manage and update confidential information within the SAFE Centre, and manage stock control within the SAFE Centre

Actively develop effective internal and external relationships and work closely with colleagues to ensure a successful service delivery.

Contribute to the overall effectiveness and development of the SAFE Centre, the Division, the Trust and other partner organisations.

**Duties to include, but not be limited to**:

- Input and update confidential information of referrals onto the SAFE Centre database, relating to complainant details, needs and resources in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain efficient filing and storage of notes and colposcopy video tapes.
- Undertake data collection for surveys and audits as required.
- To be responsible for ordering of supplies for the SAFE Centre.
- To deal with telephone enquiries and offer information on the Centre and other services available in relation to sexual assault, rape and associated issues, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- To take minutes, at the out-of-hours bi-monthly SAFE Centre Team Meetings, and any other meetings held at the Centre.
- Communicate with colleagues within the SAFE Centre and wider agencies using a variety of communication methods including, verbal, written, interpersonal and computer, and passing information in a format that is appropriate to the individual request.
- Respond to external and internal telephone enquiries from staff and others in an efficient, tactful and helpful manner and ensure that any messages/information are passed to the appropriate person in a timely manner
- Plan own workload in conjunction with SAFE Manager to ensure continuity of service and support.
- To personally contribute to the overall effectiveness of the SAFE Centre to ensure the delivery of a safe and effective service
- Take responsibility for one’s own continuing professional development, including keeping up to date with activities of the wider Service.
- Maintain effective working relationships within Department and other officers of the Trust, in order to ensure delivery of professional service focused on achieving high level of patient satisfaction.
- Participate in any associated training in order to enhance knowledge and skills.
- To participate in any Trust mandatory training and regular immediate life support training and implement any HR policies and procedures as required.
- To provide cover for colleagues during periods of leave, ensuring adequate cover to provide expected level of service, liaising with line managers as appropriate to ensure continuity of service.
- Support training for induction of any new Service members and support the identification of training needs and requirements.
