Health and Safety Officer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team. As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees and visitors within our organization. This is a critical role that requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
**Duties**:
- Conduct regular inspections of the workplace to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Fire fighting equipment inspections
Fire alarm system testing maintenance
- carry put risk assessments
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries
- maintaining records of cosh, legionella documentation
- Conduct thorough investigations of accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures
- Organise safety training and awareness programs to employees at all levels
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and changes in safety regulations
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis
- Excellent report writing skills to effectively communicate findings and recommendations
- First aid certification is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively train employees on safety protocols
- Attention to detail and the ability to identify potential hazards or risks
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: From £12.60 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
