Due to continued growth, one of the UK's leading Fencing Contractors is currently seeking an Access Control & Gate Automation Supervisor. This role will be based at our Head Office in Bedwas with regular travel to Customer Sites as and when required.

We are a well-established organisation in the Safety & Security industry. The company supply a wide range of perimeter fencing and hoarding products, including temporary fencing, timber fencing, steel fencing, noise barriers, gates and gate automation products, to a variety of commercial, industrial and educational organizations across the UK.

This role is a huge opportunity for someone with drive and ambition to come into the business and significantly grow this exciting new expansion for the Electrical Department.

To enable you to successfully carry out your role, you will be provided with a company car or allowance, phone, laptop etc. Your working hours will be Monday - Thursday 8am - 4.30pm Friday 8am - 3pm. However, it is pertinent to note that you may be required to work such additional hours as may be necessary for the efficient and proper performance of your duties.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Supervise and provide technical support to a small team of Electricians
- Lead and attend meetings with Suppliers, Clients and Internal Customers (Contract managers/directors)
- Liaise with Suppliers to ensure availability of materials required for all projects.
- Ability to organise workload effectively.
- Carry out Risk Assessments on automatic gates.
- General Administration - (RAMS/technical files/quotations).
- Help develop new areas of the Business - Access Control.
- The role will also involve carrying out installations where required & fault finding on gate and access control systems so a ‘hands on approach’ is essential.

**Key Skills**:

- Project development & management with delivery to deadlines.
- Experience in managing/supervising a team.
- Good Knowledge in Access Control and Automatic Gates
- Experience with safety relays or programmable safety controllers
- Experience in specifying control elements in automation.
- Ability to grow customer base within Access Control/Automatic Gates
- Excellent communication skills
- Good IT skills and experience with Word/Excell packages etc.

- Making suggestions to improve Health, Safety and Environmental issues in the Company to Management.
- Reporting at the earliest opportunity, all risks or hazards, including environmental issues directly to their Manager
- Reporting without delay any injury suffered as the result of any incident during the course of their work to their immediate supervisor or First Aider as appropriate.
- Ensuring that good housekeeping is always maintained at their workstation and surrounding area.
- Taking reasonable care of themselves and other people who may be affected by their actions whilst at work.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £34,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
