Barnardo's and Amazon have joined together in partnership to support and transform the lives of young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET). The aim of the programme is to equip young people 18-29 with the skills, confidence andambition to pursue their goals of finding employment, apprenticeships or further education and training. Amazon are offering real employment opportunities within their Manchester warehouse and the young people we are supporting will be invited to apply, interviewand work for Amazon.

The project worker will provide a pivotal role to the development of the Barnardo's programme in the Manchester area. Working with vulnerable NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) young people this role focuses will deliver a 10-week motivationalprogramme focussing on employability skills, confidence and self-esteem work.

You will work with young people to assertively and creatively engage with hard-to-reach young people. The project worker will lead and develop the work in this area and will be responsible for providing quality information, advice and guidance.

You will be responsible for contributing to, devising and developing schemes of work, session plans and resources to meet curriculum requirements to equip young people with the personal social and development skills, motivation, confidence and employabilityskills to progress into and sustain employment and/or further education/training.

You will be responsible for supporting young people to access employment opportunities and supporting service users to apply, prepare for and sustain this employment.

The post holder will be responsible for liaising with other Barnardo's services and agencies to access additional supportive services for service users where required.

This post will involve travelling around the Manchester area with travel to and from Amazon site Manchester

**Contract ends on the 31st December 2025 (funding reviewed annually)**

**Key Experience/Qualifications Required**:

- Experience of working with NEET young people aged 18-29.
- Experience or 1:1 work with young people.
- Delivery of employability and personal and social development in group sessions.
- Excellent local knowledge of the Manchester area and organisations within it
- Level 3/4 PTTLS/DTTLS (desirable).
- Links with employers (desirable).
- Experience and knowledge of safeguarding.
