Starting Salary: £48,923 with the opportunity to progress to a max of £54,145pa
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Princess Alexandra team Harlow, the service support an integrated approach to managing care of people who require support on discharge from hospital.

Key responsibilities of the Deputy Team Manager post include:

- Establishing day-to-day practice of the Team, ensuring compliance to relevant policies and procedures and an effective performance management approach.
- Managing the practice and performance of the team to ensure the timely and effective completion of discharges and reviews.
- To inspire, lead, manage and nurture a team of professionals (Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, and Community Care Officers) that can operate innovatively and creatively in order to meet the needs of Hertfordshire citizens.
- Building positive relationships with key partners delivering.
- Effective management of resources and budgets and assurance of quality.
- Act as the Deputy lead manager in complex / high profile safeguarding and or serious concerns processes.

Safeguarding: Safeguarding children and adults is of utmost importance to Hertfordshire County Council. The Council requires employees to abide by legislation and best practice to enable Hertfordshire to achieve this. This role has been identified as requiringa Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.

Driving Roles Only: As part of this role, you will be required to travel to other HCC Sites/Residences either using your own mode of transport or a company car. In light of this, the ability to drive and/or travel around the County is required for this rolea DVLA check will be required on appointment.

English Fluency: The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
