**Activities of the team/department that this role will operate in;**
- **To carry out resurfacing works safely, and to a high standard on site at all times.**:

- **To manage the operational contracts in line with budget and business plan.**:

- **To work safely and promote a safe environment for all operations.**:

- **To develop staff and operatives within their areas of responsibility to plan succession and enhance the effectiveness of the people resource.**:

- **To monitor the satisfaction of clients and work through the EFQM model to feed this monitoring through the business planning cycle.**:

- **To work with the Contract Manager to develop targets for the future of the division.**:

- **To actively foster a positive staff morale.**

**Purpose of the role and your responsibilities;**

**-Safety - To fully comply with all company Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and procedures.**
- **Cost control - Forecasting. B1 = B3**:

- **Waste Asphalt - To help reduce waste materials on site, i.e. helping to reduce ‘Carbon footprint’.**:

- **Quality Assurance - To help ensure full compliance to Sector 16, i.e. temperature checks, daily laying records, whilst a “Right 1st Time” approach is adopted at all times with self & workforce.**:

- **Paperwork/ Templates - To activeley promote the completion of all daily record sheets, traffic management sheets, daily plant inspection and defect reports, including any other report sheets from supervisors.**:

- **Training - To attend programmed training as and when required.**

**Formal qualifications required;**

**A good standard of general education**

**CSCS Gold card**

**Full UK Driving Licence or will to get driving licence in place.**

**NVQ3**

***

**Skills required;**

**PC Literate**

***

**Experience required;**

**At least 5 years asphalt experience.**

***

**Knowledge;**
- **Work effectively within a team environment, cooperating and supporting team members when required.**:

- **The ability to undertake a wide range of Manual Handling tasks**:

- **An effective communicator**:

- **Work accurately with good attention to detail**:

- **Use own time effectively to consistently complete work on time to agreed timescales**:

- **We will trust you to ensure operations are carried out in a safe and commercially astute manner, to ensure best value for the client. Whilst directing resources of people, materials and sub-contractors, in order to achieve the aims and objectives of the business plan. As the Contracts Manager you will play a key role in developing our relationship with a various client and the future success of the business**
