TeamDalmarnock are looking for motivated and understanding individuals with exceptional communication skills to join our team in Bridgeton as **Support Practitioners **on a permanent basis.

You don't need experience in care as a Support Worker or qualifications to start your career with us, we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills that you'll need. We'll even fund your SVQ qualification too

**The Role**

You will be joining a dedicated team of **Support **Practitioners **providing support 10 individuals within a twenty-four-hour housing support service in Bridgeton. The people we support have learning disabilities and other complex health and support needs; some of the ladies we support are registered blind and some use a wheelchair. This role will be primarily working with 6 ladies who love getting out, arts and crafts and a good movie.

With a focus on maintaining and promoting independence, as a **Support **Practitioner**, you will work in a person-centred way to provide support in all aspects of daily living, including personal care, cooking and helping them to take care of their home. You’ll provide emotional support and companionship, and you’ll help the people we support to pursue their hobbies and interests, such as going to the gym, horse riding, arts and crafts and knitting.

To be a great **Support **Practitioner**, you will be:

- able to build and maintain positive, respectful relationships with lots of different types of people
- a problem-solver and able to think on your feet and use your initiative
- competent in the use of technology to enhance the support you provide

- reliable and flexible to meet the needs of the people we support

**Shift Patterns**

Our team provides support twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, following a four-week rolling rota. If you’re successful in joining our team, you will be expected to work a combination of longer and shorter day shifts and sleepovers. Our team have an assortment of shift patterns tailored to suit the needs of the people we support and include 8am - 10pm, 8am - 7pm, 8am - 3pm, 10am - 5pm and 8am-8am (which includes a 9 hour sleepover to the following day).

**Our sleepovers don't form part of your contracted hours, so you will be paid an additional £98.10 for every sleepover you work**

If you’re successful in joining our team, you will be expected to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and must be willing to work towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare as required for SSSC registration. We will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
