**Veterinary Receptionist - 30 hours pr wk**

**Overview**
Companion Care Vets Portsmouth is part of a group of associated practices within the Solent area, including Companion Care Vets Fareham Park Gate, Companion Care Vets Fareham Collingwood, Waterlooville Vets4Pets and Havant Vets4Pets.
We have been supporting local pets for over 20 years and have been voted one of the top three veterinary practices in the Portsmouth area.

**Position**
We have a position available for 30 hours, on a static rota, spread over four weekdays with a mix of mornings and evenings, and will include one weekend in three.
There may be occasional shifts in Havant Vets4Pets.
- Provide a polite and confident telephone manner and deal with a range of client emotions.
- Have relevant client facing experience, with a strong understanding of excellent customer service expectations.
- Have good communication skills.
- Be able to work well within a team with non-clinical and clinical staff.
- Be presentable and provide a positive experience for our clientele.
- Have the ability to work autonomously, and take on additional responsibility.
- Experience in Microsoft would be of benefit.
- Previous reception experience is preferred but not necessary as full training will be provided along with the opportunity to expand your learning and career.

**Key accountability**
- Dealing face to face with our client at reception.
- Booking appointments, taking prescription requests and accurately recording client and patient information on to our in-house system.
- Working with our bespoke packages to deliver the best care for our patients.
- Administration tasks, including but not limited to, hospitalisation paperwork, insurance documentation, daily and weekly cash reports and debt handling.
- Keeping the reception area clean, tidy and approachable.
