Working as part of a dynamic team the Schools Liaison and Transition Coordinator is responsible and accountable for the delivery of advice and guidance offered externally to Schools and other organisations. The role requires a clear understanding of the Newcastle College curriculum offer, planning and coordinating recruitment related activities, supporting Schools and other organisations to deliver careers programmes as well as networking with external partners to develop and sustain positive relationships.

The Schools Liaison and Transition Coordinator is required to build strong relationships and work in collaboration with internal departments within the college to design and deliver a range of meaningful career related activities.

The role requires engaging with young people in schools and other organisations working with groups or individuals, providing young people with engaging and interactive visits, activities and opportunities to inspire them to progress through their educational journey.

The post will require travelling across the region as well as working frequently outside of normal office hours.
