We are currently seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Alton (potential to travel to other depots, customer or training locations). This role is primarily providing daily assistance to the Procurement Manager operating within the Purchasing Department of the company. The role is an internal office-based position with daily communication with suppliers, operational depots and sales staff.

Key duties and responsibilities....
- Responsible for your safety and the others within the department
- Generating daily re-order list; deciding on re-order quantities
- Liaising with Procurement Manager and depots regarding company purchasing and customers’ special requirements
- Sending purchase orders
- Order processing
- Checking suppliers’ order confirmations: products, quantities, prices, delivery dates
- Overseeing delivery scheduling details
- Support for the sales teams
- Report monthly stock figures
- Adhoc projects as they occur

**Requirements**:

- Quick and efficient working style with positive approach
- Excellent ability to complete regular tasks on your own
- Methodical & detailed approach
- Good general MS Office
- Be a team player

**Hours**: Mon-Fri 7:30am - 4:30pm

**Benefits**:

- Salary of £25,000-£30,000
