Proactive are currently in search of a Supply Chain Order Controller for a world leading Aerospace and Defence company based in Derby. They are pioneers in the Aero-Engine field and are at the forefront of delivering the power that matters to their customers and the planet. Through innovation and collaboration, they have put their customers ahead of the competition in the aviation industry.
In this role you will plan and control delivery schedules for our global supply chain and be responsible for driving adherence to ensure on-time delivery to our Manufacturing, Engine Assembly or Services aftermarket facilities. You will play a pivotal role in developing relationships with external suppliers and proactively identify and resolve potential risks that could impact delivery performance to our customers and inventory performance to our business.
The Rotatives Operating Business Unit is responsible for the manufacture and supply of critical rotating parts and components which transmit power for many Civil, Defence and Marine engines. Your role will be based at one of the Rotatives sites with some opportunity for hybrid working as well as visiting the European supplier base.
**What you will be doing**
In this role, you will be ensuring that suppliers manufacture and deliver products in line with the agreed plan to achieve required performance levels and customer commitments. You will also:
- Reviewing delivery commitments shared by the suppliers through standard tools and processes ensuring all planning systems are accurately maintained and reporting key performance data.
- Identifying risk and where performance diverges from the plan, driving the urgent resolution of issues whilst ensuring root causes are understood and addressed
- Ensuring demand changes are understood and working with suppliers to realign where necessary to support customer requirements
- Managing inventory at your suppliers and supporting inventory performance improvement.
- Leading structured reviews with suppliers ensuring load and capacity, material supply, resources, rate, product modifications and product introduction milestones are understood and executed in line with business needs.

**Who we are looking for**
- Experience of working within a similar Planning & Control, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management or Operational Purchasing with APICS or equivalent qualifications
- Experience of SAP or an equivalent ERP/ MRP System and confident in data analysis with an aptitude to develop further
- Excellent communication skills, an ability to influence and work successfully with cross-functional teams in a rapidly changing environment.
- Skilled in using problem solving techniques to identify risks and putting the necessary corrective actions in place using the best skills and experiences from across the team
- Someone who is comfortable working both alone, with a high level of detail, but also works well as part of a team to improve overall business performance
- IT literate with the ability to work within a range of IT systems.
