**The Role**:
As Technology and Digital Finance Manager, you will work with all areas of Technology and Digital Services (TDS), the Finance department and the council’s technology and infrastructure suppliers/vendors. The post holder will be responsible for budget forecasting,monitoring and management; invoice management, cost re-charging and maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers. This role will sit within the Technology and Transformation Team whilst working with all area of the TDS on budget related activities.The Technology and Transformation Portfolio will be overseeing a large amount of change over the next 24 months, working on large programmes such as data and leisure insourcing, working with digital learning partners to upskill residents and rolling out broadbandto local areas, to name a few. This makes it an excellent time to get involved in the finances that will support these processes.

The postholder will report into the Programme Lead
- Data & Platforms whilst working closely with other Programme Leads on specific projects, giving this post holder great exposure to senior management whilst having no direct managerial responsibilities themselves.You will be responsible for the end-to-end financial management of the TDS, including budget monitoring and forecasting as well as managing financial accounts to ensure budget related activities are completed. The role will work closely with a range of disciplinaryteams and stakeholders from varied business areas meaning there will be a dynamic nature to the role and strong communications skills will be essential. Other responsibilities include monitoring vendor contracts and producing management reports with the useof source system reporting tools. Due to the varied responsibilities of this role it will suit an individual interested in all aspects of financial management in relation to Technology, Digital and the services they provide.

Southwark are looking to recruit a Finance Manager with experience in end to end budget management and forecasting with an interest in Technology and Digital Services and an ability to work in a dynamic and multifaceted environment. This role will overseea broad array of contracts and relationships and so strong communication and organisational skills are vital.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- End to end responsibility for the financial management of the Technology and Digital Service, including budget monitoring and forecasting
- Producing management reports in relations to the TDS spending with the use of source system reporting tools, to be presented to senior managers
- Maintaining the TDS’s financial accounts whilst working with multidisciplinary teams of stakeholders from varied business areas with regards to Technology and Digital financial monitoring
- Acting as a central hub of communication for Shared Technology Services to ensure invoices are correctly raised and the correct processes are followed
- Responsible for monitoring key vendor contracts to ensure they are adhering to council standards and procedures

**About You**:
Applicants must be qualified within a CCAB body or part qualified with relevant experience at a proven professional level. An understanding of local government (or other appropriate public sector body) finance, funding, and financial techniques as well asknowledge of the current financial challenges and issues being faced by local government is desirable. You will have an understanding of strategic financial planning and experience of setting and monitoring budgets.
