Engineering Assistant

**Overview**:
Due to rapid and sustained growth of our business we are currently seeking an engineering assistant to join our busy Colwyn Bay Office. As an assistant to an engineer, you will work as part of a close team in a support capacity including administrating Fabrication Drawings for Sheet Metal Ventilation Ductwork, Issuing Ductwork to Manufacture, and General Day to Day Tasks.
The role is very varied with no two days the same and will suit a person with general understanding of engineering, seeking to expand their knowledge Drawing, Fabrication and Manufacture, in a broad and varied capacity.
The role would suit a recent school leaver looking for an opportunity of professional progression.

**Training**
Training will be given to all the procedures etc.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Assist with Production of CAD Engineering Drawings for manufacture and installation of ductwork.
- Produce schedules of items for ordering.
- Find engineering solutions to problems.
- Control and distribute documentation & data in accordance with the requirements of the project.
- Liaise with factory to arrange manufacture.
- Issue Purchase Orders.
- Organise deliveries.
- Storage of incoming and outgoing project documentation using document management system.
**Skills Required**:
- B or above in GCSE maths would be advantageous.
- GCSE or A-Level in Engineering (Desirable).
- Competent in Microsoft Excel.
- A full driving licence would be advantageous.
- Demonstrates a willingness and appetite to learn.
- Ability to take instruction and work independently where needed.
- Punctuality.
- Good literacy skills.
- Professional attitude and appearance.
- A full UK Driving License (Desirable).
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £20,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
