**Job summary**:

- This exciting position will play a critical role in the design and delivery of activities as the Capacity Strengthening Pillar of activities evolves within the UK-PHRST, and as the project expands its country and regional partnerships. The post-holder will work to support the activities of the Capacity Strengthening Team, alongside project managers and all UK-PHRST colleagues across the project matrix to help plan, coordinate and manage a range of tasks and projects both overseas and in the UK. This will include close work with the UK-PHRST capacity strengthening, operations and research management teams. While the post will be based in London, international travel may be required. The role is extremely varied and very rewarding. It requires someone with proven communication, organisational, IT, time and project management skills. A commitment to global health issues and experience of working on international projects/ programmes are important.**Job description**:
Providing direct support to the Capacity Strengthening Team, including project managers and technical leads, in the delivery of capacity strengthening activities and initiatives, leading on and project managing specific strands as directed, working with other members of the UK-PHRST, and building and maintaining relationships with international and UK partners to deliver on the
- This will include taking responsibility for:

- Supporting coordination and management of key UK-PHRST capacity strengthening activities, such as internal and international training and events, reporting, and recruitment
- Maintaining project documentation for Capacity Strengthening work streams
- Supporting with budget management and planning
- Line management of other team members if needed
- Leading on procurement and contract management as required

Whilst the role will be based in one of our UKHSA offices, there will be opportunities for an element of working from home. The balance between home and workplace working is to be agreed with the line manager, determined primarily by business need and in line with departmental policy.

Some business travel may be required to other UKHSA offices. Business travel between base location and any other UKHSA offices will be covered under the UKHSA Travel and Expenses policy.

Please be aware that this role can only be worked in the UK and not overseas. Relocation expenses are not available.
