Job Title: Groundworker

Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Groundworker to join our team. As a Groundworker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and preparing various outdoor spaces for construction projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Excavate and backfill trenches
- Lay foundations for roads, paths, and drainage systems
- Install underground services such as drainage pipes and cables
- Operate machinery including diggers and compactors
- Assist with concreting and finishing surfaces
- Erect fencing and barriers as required
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on site

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in groundworks or construction
- Knowledge of different ground materials and their properties
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans
- Proficient in using a range of hand tools and machinery
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Physically fit to handle manual labour tasks
- Valid CSCS card is desirable

**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: £20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 - 50 per week
