**Job description**:
Exciting opportunity to work for a leading Technology Company and Project Developer with its state-of-the-art plant, providing engineering services and licensed technology to projects specialising in the production of advanced biofuels.
This is an integral role that is specifically focused on providing a focal point to environmental and sustainability activities, and coordinating the many aspects required to keep the business compliant.

**The Role**:

- Assist in activities and actions related to the site's Environmental Permit, effluent discharge consent and other environmental legal requirements.
- Support the development of the Management Systems with specific regard to the requirements of ISO14001 and ISCC.
- Developing, implementing, and managing programs and projects that address Sustainability issues such as energy use, resource conservation, recycling, pollution reduction, waste elimination, transportation, education, and building design. Produce monthly and annual Sustainability Reports.
- Assist in activities related to environmental compliance obligations including annual evaluation of compliance.
- Making recommendations about new procedures and equipment that can reduce the company's negative effect on the environment.

**Required Experience**:

- A recognised Environmental Sciences or Sustainability degree or equivalent experience & qualifications.
- Understanding of the requirements and how to comply with the Environmental Permitting (England & Wales) Regulations 2016.
- Understanding of greenhouse gas assessments and lifecycle analysis.
- Understanding of the criteria for assessing the sustainability of wastes, crops and biomass residues.
- Experience in engagement with the Environment Agency.
