Novek Chartering & Logistics is its newest branch and will be dedicated to the facilitation of transportation of the raw materials we and others trade. We are looking to expand our reach into dry bulk shipping as well as in the container shipping spaces, by using our accumulated expertise to create new profit centres and strategies within our rapidly growing business expansion.

**Role Summary**

**Responsibilities**:

- Managing the negotiation process of end-to-end fixtures (including both spot, time charter and period charters), finalising charter terms and executing the fixture.
- Interacting with Shipbrokers and Charterers to obtain market data to develop a forward view of the shipping trends and identify opportunities to optimise chartering rates. Develop opinion on medium
- and long-term strategy and commercial positioning, including the use of FFAs to correctly hedge our positions.
- Building and developing strong relationships with key commercial partners, Charterers and shipbrokers.
- Operating vessels under our control for period or time charters.
- Ad-hoc chartering projects.
- Additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

**Requirements**:

- Fluent in English + one other language (Spanish, Greek or Turkish proficiencies are a strong plus)
- 3-10 years within a similar senior or junior role
- Negotiation Skills
- Knowledge of shipping and trading practices
- Ability to understand recaps and charter parties, clauses for voyage and time-charter vessels
- Willingness to travel on a semi-regular to regular basis
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills
- Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Self-motivated, diligent and able to work well under pressure

**Desirable**:

- Transferable book of existing cargo and ship owners
- Container shipping/freight forwarding experience

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £70,000.00-£120,000.00 per year
