Careers Adviser

This leading charity seeks an IAG Level-4 qualified Careers Adviser to support its careers service delivery across East Sussex.

This is a Permanent, full-time or part-time post (4 days/22.2 hrs per week)

The organisation delivers career information, advice and guidance (IAG) services to adults on various opportunities, such as learning, career paths and employment. Mainly, your role will be in the community, but you may occasionally support the service providedin local prisons.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- IAG qualification at Level 4 or above
- Maths and English GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent)
- A commitment to undertake all necessary training for the role
- Experience in managing a caseload of adults/ young people from diverse backgrounds
- Awareness of the social and economic issues affecting people

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Delivering clear and unbiased information, advice and guidance (IAG).
- Providing IAG on all matters relating to learning and work, including employment, education and training
- Achieving a range of set quantitative and qualitative targets using the caseload management approach
- Identifying and engaging with priority customer groups to identify barriers to their progression
- Supporting customers to produce a personal action plan

**Salary and benefits package**
- £24,648 to £30,051 pro rata (depending on experience)
