**Play Leader | Enfield**

LTF Recruitment are currently working alongside a lovely 2 form-entry primary school in Enfield, the school are part of a multi-academy trust who offer a culture of care, excellent professional development and exciting career opportunities across the Trust. The school are eagerly seeking two Play Leaders to join their team of dedicated team of support staff, to supervise, support and engage children during the lunchtime period. These two part-time roles are available to start ASAP for the remainder of the academic year, continuing in September with the potential of a permanent position.

**Main duties**:

- Attend to pupils’ personal needs, including social, health, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters.
- To support and coordinate play ensuring all children are included, through modelling and suggesting games.
- To act as a role model setting high expectations for pupils’ development of appropriate social skills e.g. good table manners, lining up safely in the hall, washing hands before the meal, being polite.
- Prepare and set up both the dining and outside spaces and clear afterwards including putting away tables, sweeping floors and wiping chairs etc.
- To work as part of a team to ensure that the school lunch period provides a caring and supportive environment for all children.
- Implement the behaviour strategy in line with school policy.
- Meet regularly with the play leader team as part of ongoing training and planning sessions.

**The Successful Applicant**:

- Experience working with children in schools, playgroups, nurseries, or holiday camp settings.
- A Passion for creating a safe and happy environment for children to learn and play.
- Excellent initiative, problem solving and organisational skills.
- An Enhanced DBS Check is an essential requirement.

These Play Leader roles are a fantastic opportunity for those with previous childcare experience who are eager to break into a position in Schools, or for experienced play leaders looking to start in a new school environment.
