We are recruiting two Assistant Psychologists to work within a new psychological service provision within the Trafford Acute Care wards and PICU for Adults of Working Age (AoWA).

The primary focus is to facilitate the running of psychologically informed groups and 1:1 psychological interventions on the wards and PICU under the supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist and with the operational support of Acute Care management.

The post holder will assist with a wide range of duties - assessment, intervention and evaluation. Duties may include the development of psychologically informed resources. The post holder will also be expected to assist clinicians in the preparation, delivery and evaluation of a variety of clinical, teaching and research tasks. The post holder will act under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist and will receive regular supervision.

**The post holder will be required, under supervision to**:
Facilitate psychologically informed groups on the wards. As agreed with service managers, this may include some evening working.

Use structured / manualised CBT material to work with service users.

Ensure psychologically relevant resource material is available to the wards.

Assist when required, with assessments / reviews / consultations by administering self-report measures, rating scales, neuropsychological tests, and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in clients care, all under supervision.
