**SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**

1. To undertake reception duties including admissions, membership sales, bookings and general enquiries.

2. To assist the ASM with membership sales, to deliver a sales plan, working towards monthly targets.

3. To build good customer relations with the Members and Pupils.

4. To monitor and supervise admissions of everyone entering the facility and adhere to access control procedures.

5. To undertake the effective operation of the Booking/Membership IT system.

6. To deal with bookings for Hirers, Holiday and Term Time Courses, and processing the booking forms and payments.

7. To deal with enquiries and complaints in a professional calm manner.

8. To maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the Reception area to a very high standard.

9. To endeavour to ensure maximum security of the Centre at all times.

10. To understand and comply with the Centre health and safety procedures at all times.

11. To work shifts to cover the busiest operating hours of the facility, mainly evenings but some weekend cover may be required.

12. To feedback any areas of concern to the ASM.

13. To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required by your Line Manager and the Duty Manager at the Centre.

**SKILLS & ABILITIES**
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team to deliver organisational objectives and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with all levels of Centre & School staff.
- Well-presented and approachable person.
- Excellent organisational and customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
- Excellent telephone manner.

**KNOWLEDGE**
- Knowledge of leisure facilities operation.
- Knowledge of centre operations including health and safety, reception, reconciliation and customer service.
- Knowledge of a leisure management booking/membership system - Gladstone (desirable).

**EXPERIENCE**
- Previous reception experience preferred.
- Experience of working effectively as part of a team.
- Customer service experience essential.
- Previous transactional duties.
- Experience of using IT.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Good IT skills.

**Job Type**: Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £10.91 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 24 per week
